"Let our five senses become Five loaves of Compassion : Multiply those Loaves of Compassion in Myanmar :
Feed our people with bread of healing and peace."

17th Sunday of the Ordinary Time
My dear people of Myanmar
Peace of the Good Shepherd, the eternal Healer be with you all.
Week after week, our hands are raised in prayers of hope, prayers of anguish to the Lord : Save us Lord from the burden of this pandemic, the burden of conflict, the burden of starvation.
This week our prayer continues. The gravity of the situation struck us when Bishop John Hsane Hgyi, the amiable shepherd of the Pathein diocese passed away in the early hours of 22nd July Thursday. He is gone too soon. A compassionate pastor, a kind bishop, an erudite scholar, the ever-smiling enabler of the weak and the vulnerable, fell a victim to the cruel virus. Our condolences to the diocese he led with great joy and competence, to his dear family. His loss is an irreparable loss to the whole Catholic Church in Myanmar. He will be sorely missed. May his soul rest in peac
We grieve for thousands of others infected, living with existential anxiety. These are apocalyptic times : starvation, struggle for oxygen, long queues in the cemeteries and the persisting virus of conflict and poverty of our people. We plead with those who rule: be Good Shepherds, save our people. Unless there is peace, hundreds will be buried everyday. We cannot afford conflict; once again I appeal : Peace is the only vaccine against what is turning into an apocalypse of death and disease. God is calling us : Stop all the flow of tears from the eyes of our country men and women. Yes : We can turn the tide. That is God’s will and call from every heart in this country.
We are presented with the soothing words in today’s readings : in the moments of darkness, a united people knocking at the doors of peace for all - can work wonders. There are the themes for us to contemplate to seek light through the tunnel of despair we are passing through.
· Reading I. 2 Kgs 4:42-44. The Prophet Elisha Feeds the Hungry people
· Reading II. Eph 4:1-6. St Paul pleads for the Unity of the people to become God’s people
· Gospel. Jn 6:1-15.Jesus multiplies loaves and feed five thousand with the bread - of compassion
The core theme is Sharing in the first reading and the Gospel : the second reading identifies the obstacle to that sharing : Disunity. When we contemplate the message : How fitting these readings are to describe the plight of Myanmar today! What is God’s message?
After six months of unbearable suffering, many people are angry. Angry with God, for not coming to their aid : And like protagonists in the book of Job, many are asking where is God in all these? The suffering of our people reminds us of the plight Job: the multi-layered suffering :Covid, Conflict and Collapse of the economy. Starvation, unemployment, conflict and displacement, violent deaths of hundreds and as Covid entered lack of medicine and oxygen.
What happens in Myanmar would wound any sensibilities. The world cries with our people. The Pope continues to pray with us with those poignant words: I too kneel on the streets of Myanmar and say: stop the violence! I too extend my arms and say: let dialogue prevail.
How do today’s readings console us; give pointers to where is God in all these?
There are two desperate situations in the readings : the first readings talk of starvation; the Gospel talks of starvation. HUNGER. These two pathetic scenes remind us of Moses and the starvation of the people in the Desert, in their long journey of liberation. God intervenes in all these : first through his prophets, but then through his own Son.
There is a similar situation in Myanmar : Excruciating Hunger : Real Hunger for food; hunger for medicine, hunger for peace based on justice. Like the Exodus people, the journey through the desert looks long; the promised land seemed to recede in the horizon. Murmurings and disunity appear, strengthening the hand of the evil.
We cry out: “ Lord we are hungry; hungry for the daily bread; hungry for another breadth of oxygen; hungry for medical care; hungry for peace based on justice. How long can we live with the pandemic of injustice, deprivation and desolation? Has the Lord forgotten us?”
We look at our land, the Golden land. God seemed to be biased. He gave so much to the Myanmar people: above the ground and below the ground. Above the ground great wealth of forests, rivers, rich soil, a wonderful people; under the ground rich natural resources Jade, rubies, gold, oil, gas. Other countries struggling for water etc. would look at this country and said God gave to the Myanmar people a promised land : a land flowing with all riches.
Yes, God gave five loaves to Myanmar already to feed millions, to feed generation after generation. He gave five loaves of resources : wonderful land, majestic rivers, Skies that send copious rains, earth that holds priceless treasures and more importantly a grace filled people. Five loaves, if only equitable sharing has been done – we will not be called by the UN the least developed country. God gave everything : Our struggle is to find where they are.
God did not forget my people; he gave a promise land, a land that should be flowing with ‘milk and honey.’ We were truly a chosen race; God’s own people. But instead of milk and honey, tears and blood flow in our streets. Instead, being one of the richest countries in the world, starvation is a reality. World Food Program has warned 3.4 million people are at the risk of chronic starvation.
Jesus has not given up on us; the readings of the last three weeks point out one of the most touching qualities of Jesus. Jesus is moved by human suffering. He is Karuna; the incarnation of God’s Compassion. Mathew throws a scintillating scene of Jesus compassion :
When He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. (Mathew 3:36)
Yes. Jesus perceives “ they are harassed and helpless’ Yes. He sees our people dying without oxygen, without medicine, he sees our people waiting at the cemeteries to bury their dear ones, he sees the tears and broken ness of our displaced people.
God does not remain silent. He comes at his time. We pray let that be now. God intervenes when silent tears of the innocent victims soak the conscience of the world. That is the story of the Bible. Pharaohs of history dissolved in the sink of history whilst sunk in the oppressed rewrite history; that is the story of the Exodus.
The Book of Job portrays what happens when agony of the innocent explodes
They caused the cry of the poor to come before Him,and He heard the outcry of the afflicted. (Job 34:28)
Why do the wicked still prosper, continue on, also become very powerful?
That the triumphing of the wicked is short, And the joy of the godless momentary? (Job 20:5)
Yes. God will act. God hears the cry of our people.
In the meantime, we are asked to share. As Christians, we celebrate together, the Mass, the Eucharist, the communion, acknowledging as St. Paul says in the second reading, the letter to the Ephesians : One Body, one Lord, one faith and one baptism.
We too can work out the miracle of five loaves and share with thousands. God has given us five senses. They are like the loaves. Seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and reaching out with touch.
These are our five loaves. When our senses assume the same sense of Jesus, the way he listened to the cry of the people, the same compassionate look, the same taste of people’s suffering, the same smell of the sheep he moved around and the same touch of healing, we too can break the bread.
Not necessarily we need money. Like St Peter we can say : Gold and Silver I do not have. I give what I have. In the name of Jesus. Thousands are in need and Jesus is telling every Christian today : You give them something to eat.” Luke 9:13. In these challenging times, we can ask how? God has already given these five loaves in each one of us.
Yes, in the name of Jesus let our five senses become the five loaves as the pandemic rages :
1. The bread of Sight : Let us see the suffering of our people with the eyes of Jesus with compassion. Let not social distancing close our eyes to suffering people.
2. The bread of hearing : Lord Jesus heard the cries of people who were sick and healed them. Thousands cry for help, for oxygen, medicine. How can we respond.
3. The bread of taste : The Bible says Taste and See the Lord is good. We feel the pain of our people, we taste their sorrow and reach out to them.
4. The Bread of smell : Pope Francis asks the Church should go to the sheep; come back with the smell of the sheep. Lockdowns and stay homes cannot prevent the Church and the faithful to forget the thousands. In the care centres and homes where infected live, amidst the smell of sickness and medicines, the Lord is calling us to reach out to them.
5. The Bread of Reaching Out : Jesus went in search of the sick, the wounded, the lame, deaf and dumb and healed them with the touch.
In times of great pandemic, we contemplate the Compassion of Jesus which moved him to multiply five loaves to feed five thousand. He works through us today. Let us go out of our fear and insecurity to reach out. Through our prayers, through our concern for one another, let us multiply the five loaves of compassion and share with our people.
Jesus promises Us :
If anyone gives you even a cup of water because you belong to the Messiah, I tell you the truth, that person will surely be rewarded. (Mark 9: 41)
Let our five senses make us miracle makers : God will reward us hundred fold.

ဒုတိယကျမ်း။ ။ ဧဖက် ၄း၁-၆ - သံပေါလူးက စည်းလုံးနေသောလူများကို ဘုရားလူဖြစ်လာကြဖို့ တောင်းဆိုသည်။
ဧဝံဂေလိကျမ်း။ ။ ရှင်ယောဟန် ၆း၁-၁၅- ခရစ်တော်သည် ပေါင်မုန့်ကို ကောင်းကြီးပေး ပွားများစေပြီး၊ လူပေါင်း ၅ ထောင်းကို သနာကြင်နာခြင်းပေါင်မုန့်ဖြင့်
ချစ်စွာသော မြန်မာပြည်သူ ပြည်သားအပေါင်းတို့-
ကောင်းသောသိုးထိန်းဖြစ်တဲ့ ထာ၀ရကုသရှင် ရဲ့ ငြိမ်းချမ်းခြင်းသည် သင်တို့နဲ့ အမြဲရှိပါစေ။
တပတ်ပြီးတပတ်၊ မျှော်လင့်ခြင်းနဲ့ လက်တွေမြောက်ပြီး နာကျင်မှုဝေဒနာတွေအတွက် ဘုရားဆီကို - အိုဘုရား ကပ်ရောဂါဝန်ထုပ်များ၊ ခိုက်ရန် ဝန်ထုပ်များ၊ အစာရေစာငတ်မွတ်မှုဝန်ထုပ်များမှ ကယ်တော်မူပါလို့-ဆုတောင်းကြတယ်။
ဒီတပတ်လည်း ဆက်လက်ဆုတောင်းကြမယ်။ ဖော်ရွယ်ကြင်နာတက်သော ပုသိမ်ကက်သလစ်သာသနာပိုင် ဆရာတော်ကြီး ဂျွန်မန်းဆန်းဟှီ ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့ကြသပတေးနေ့ မနက်ပိုင်းမှာ ပျံလွန်တော်မူခြင်းက ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကို အင်မတန် တုန်လှုပ်စေပါတယ်။ ကြင်နာတက်သော သိုးထိန်း၊ ဖော်ရွယ်တက်သော ဆရာတော်၊ ဗဟုသုတကြွယ်သော ဆရာတစ်ဆူ၊ စိတ်အားငယ်သူတွေ၊ အားနည်းသူတွေကို အပြုံးနဲ့ အားပေးတက်သူ၊ ရက်စက်တဲ့ ဗိုင်းရပ်စ်ရဲ့သားကောင်း ဖြစ်ရရှာတယ်။ အကောင်းဆုံးနဲ့ ဝမ်းမြောက်ဝမ်းသာ ဦးဆောင်ခဲ့တဲ့ သာသနာတော်ကြီးနဲ့ သူ့မိသားစုများအတွက် အထူးပဲဝမ်းနည်းရပါတယ်။ သူ့ကိုဆုံးရှုံးခြင်းသည် မြန်မာပြည် ကက်သလစ် သာသနာတော်ကြီးအတွက် အစားထိုးမရ ဆုံးရှုံးမှုကြီးတခုပါ။ လူတိုင်းရဲ့နှလုံးသားမှာ သူ့ကို အမြဲသတိရနေကြမှာပါ။ သူ့၏ဝိညာဉ်သည် ငြိမ်းချမ်းစွာ ဘုရားရင်ခွင်မှာ နားပါစေ။
စိတ်ပူပန်မှုများနဲ့ အသက်ရှင်နေရသူတွေ၊ ထောင်သောင်းများစွာသော ရောဂါကူးစက်ခံ နေရသူတွေအတွက် စိတ်ဆင်းရဲစွာ ငိုကြွေး ကြရပါတယ်။ အစာငတ်မွတ်ခေါင်းပါးခြင်း၊ အောက်စီဂျင်အတွက် ရုန်းကန်နေခြင်း၊ သင်္ဂြိုဟ်ရဖို့ သင်္ချိုင်းမှာတန်းစီရခြင်း၊ စစ်- ဗိုင်းရပ်စ်များကို ခုခံနေရခြင်း၊ ပြည်သူတွေရဲ့ ဆင်းရဲဒုက္ခကို ခုခံနေရခြင်းတွေဟာ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ရဲ့ ကမ္ဘာပျက်နေချိန်များပဲ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့က အုပ်ချုပ်သူတွေကို တောင်းဆိုနေပါတယ်။ သိုးထိန်းကောင်းဖြစ်ကြပါ။ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ရဲ့ လူတွေကို ကယ်တင်ပေးပါ။ ငြိမ်းချမ်းခြင်းမရှိရင် ရာနဲ့ချီ သင်္ဂြိုဟ်နေကြရအုံးမှာပါ။ စစ်ပွဲတွေဖြစ်နေလို့ မဖြစ်တော့ပါ။ ထပ်တောင်းဆိုပါရစေ- ငြိမ်းချမ်းခြင်းသည်သာ သေခြင်းနဲ့ ကပ်ရောဂါဆိုးကြီးကို အနိုင်ပိုင်းတဲ့ ဆေးစွမ်းကောင်းတလက်ပါ။ ပြည်သူပြည်သားတွေရဲ့ မျက်ရည်စီးဆင်းမှုတွေ ရပ်တန့်ပါတော့လို့ ဘုရားက ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကို ခေါ် သတိပေး နေပါတယ်။ ဟုတ်ပါတယ် ဒီ ဒီရေကြီးကို ရပ်တန့်နိုင်ပါတယ်။ ဒါက ဘုရားအလို ဖြစ်သလို တိုင်းသူပြည်သား အယောက်တိုင်းစီရဲ့ နှလုံးသားက တောင်းတနေတာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
ဒီနေ့ဖတ်ရတဲ့ကျမ်းစာတွေကနေ နှစ်သိမ့်အားပေးမှုတွေရှိပါတယ်။ မှောက်မိုက်ချိန်များမှာ - စည်းလုံးတဲ့ လူတွေက- အံ့ဘြဖွယ်တန်ခိုးများလုပ်နိုင်
၁. ပထမကျမ်း။ ။ စမ္မရာဇဝင်စတုတ္ထစာစောင် ၄း ၄၂ - ၄၄- ဖရောဖက် ဧလိရှဲသည် ဆာငတ်နေသောသူများကို ကျွေးမွေးတော်မူ၏။
၂. ဒုတိယကျမ်း။ ။ ဧဖက် ၄း ၁ - ၆ - သံပေါလူးက စည်းလုံးနေသောလူများကို ဘုရားလူဖြစ်လာကြဖို့ တောင်းဆိုသည်။
၃. ဧဝံဂေလိကျမ်း- ရှင်ယောဟန် ၆း ၁ - ၁၅ - ခရစ်တော်သည် ပေါင်မုန့်ကို ကောင်းကြီးပေး ပွားများစေပြီး၊ လူပေါင်း ၅ ထောင်းကို သနာကြင်နာခြင်းပေါင်မုန့်ဖြင့်
ပထမကျမ်းနဲ့ ဧဝံဂေလိကျမ်းထဲမှာ အဓိက ဆိုလိုရင်းကတော့ ဝေမျှခြင်းပဲ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒုတိယကျမ်းစာကတော့ ဝေမျှခြင်းကို ဟန့်တားစေတာ- စည်းလုံးမှုကိုပျက်ပြားစေတာဖြစ်
မခံမရပ်နိုင်တဲ့ ဆင်းရဲဒုက္ခတွေ ဖြတ်သန်းလာတာ ခြောက်လကျော်လာပြီးနောက် လူတွေဟာ စိတ်တို၊ စိတ်ဆိုးလာကြတယ်။ ဘုရားက ဘာအကူအညီမှ မပေးဘူးဆိုပြီး ဘုရားနဲ့ စိတ်ဆိုးကြတယ်။ ယောဘ၀တ္ထုထဲက ဇာတ်ကောင်လို- ဘုရားက ဘယ်မှာလဲလို့ လူများစွာက မေးနေကြတယ်။ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ လူတွေခံစားရတဲ့ ဒုက္ခဟာ ယောဘရဲ့ ဒုက္ခကို သတိပေးနေပါတယ်။ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ရဲ့ အလွှာပေါင်းစုံသော ဒုက္ခဆင်းရဲခြင်းတွေကတော့ ကိုဗစ်ကပ်ရောဂါ၊ စစ်ပွဲများ၊ စီးပွားရေကျရှုံးခြင်း တွေအပြင် အစာရေစာငတ်မွတ်ခြင်း၊ အလုပ်လက်မဲ့ဖြစ်ခြင်း၊ စစ်ပွဲများ၊ အိုးမဲ့အိမ်မဲ့ဖြစ်ခြင်း၊ အကြမ်းဖက်မှုကြောင့် ရာနဲ့ချီသေဆုံးခြင်း၊ ကိုဗစ် ဖြစ်လာတာနဲ့ အောက်စီဂျင် ပျက်လပ်ခြင်း၊ ဆေးဝါးများပျက်လပ်ခြင်းတွေ ဒုက္ခဆင်းရဲခြင်းတွေဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
မြန်မာပြည်မှာ ဖြစ်ပျက်နေတဲ့ အရာတွေက ခံစားချက်တိုင်းကို အနာတရ ဖြစ်စေပါတယ်။ ကမ္ဘာကြီးက ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ ပြည်သူတွေနဲ့ အတူ ငိုကြွေးနေတယ်။ ပုပ်ရဟန်းမင်းကြီးက ကျွန်ုပ်တို့နဲ့အတူ ဆက်လက် ဆုတောင်းနေတယ်။ သူ့ရဲ့ က ရုဏာပါတဲ့ စကားလုံးကတော့ ‘’မြန်မာပြည်ရဲ့ လမ်းမကြီးပေါ်မှာ ကျွန်ုပ်လည်း ဒူးထောက်လျက်- အကြမ်းဖက်မှုတွေရပ်ပါတော့၊ ကျွန်ုပ်လက်တွေကို ဆန့်တန်းလျက် - ညှိနှိုင်းဆွေးနွေးခြင်းကို ပဲ အနိုင်ပေးကြစို့’’။
ဒီနေ့ဖတ်ရတဲ့ ကျမ်းစာတွေက ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကို နှစ်သိမ့်မှု ဘယ်လိုပေးနေသလဲ ဖြစ်ပျက်နေတဲ့အရာတွေထဲ ဘုရားကဘယ်မှာလဲ လို့ မေးနေသူတွေကို ဘယ်လို အဖြေပေးလဲ။
ဖတ်ရတဲ့ ကျမ်းစာတွေထဲမှာ စိတ်မချမ်းမြေ့စရာ အချက် နှစ်ချက်ရှိပါတယ်။ ပထမကျမ်းစာက အစာငတ်မွတ်ခြင်းကို ပြောပါတယ်။ ဧဝံဂေလိကျမ်းစာကလည်း အစာငတ်မွတ်ခြင်းကို ပြောပါတယ်။ “ဆာလောင်ခြင်း“ ပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒီ ရင်နင့်ဖွယ် အဖြစ်ပျက်က မိုးဇက်နဲ့ သူ့လူတွေ လွတ်မြောက်ဖို့အတွက် ရှည်လျားတဲ့ခရီးစဉ်မှာ သဲကန္တာရထဲ အစာရေစာ ငတ်ပျက်ခြင်းကို ပြန်သတိပေးနေပါတယ်။ ဒီအရာတွေ အားလုံးကို ဘုရားသခင်က ကြားဝင်ဖြေရှင်းပေးခဲ့ပါတယ်-
မြန်မာပြည်မှာလည်း အလားတူ အဖြစ်ပျက်မျိုးရှိနေပါတယ်။ အစွန်းရောက်တဲ့ ဆာလောင်ခြင်း၊ စားစရာအတွက် ဆာလောင်ခြင်း၊ ဆေးဝါးအတွက် ဆာလောင်ခြင်း၊ တရားမျှတခြင်းကို အခြေခံတဲ့ ငြိမ်းချမ်းရေးအတွက် ဆာလောင်ခြင်းတွေပဲ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ထွက်မြောက်ရာကျမ်းထဲက လူတွေလိုပဲ သဲကန္တာရခရီးစဉ်က ရှည်လျား၊ ကတိထားတဲ့ နယ်မြေက မိုးကုတ်စက်၀ိုင်းထဲ မှေးမှိန်သွားနေတယ်။ ငိုကြွေးငြီးတွားခြင်းနဲ့ မစည်းလုံးခြင်းတွေ ပေါ်လာတယ်။ မကောင်းဆိုးဝါးရဲ့ လက်တွေက ပို အားကောင်းလာသလို ဖြစ်နေတယ်။ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ အော်ဟစ်ကြစို့- အိုဘုရား ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ ဆာလောင်နေကြပါတယ်၊ နေ့စဉ်လိုအပ်သော အစာအစားအတွက် ဆာလောင်နေကြပါတယ်၊ နောက်ထပ် ရူသွင်းရမယ့် အောက်စီဂျင်အတွက် ဆာလောင်နေကြပါတယ်၊ ဆေးဝါးကုသမှုများအတွက် ဆာလောင်နေကြပါတယ်။ မတရား မမျှတခြင်းတဲ့ ကပ်ရောဂါထဲ၊ ဝမ်းနည်းညိုးငယ်ခြင်းထဲ၊ ချို့တဲ့ ဆင်းရဲ နွမ်းပါးမှုတွေထဲ ဘယ်လောက်ကြာကြာ ဆက်လက်ရှင်သန်ရအုံးမလဲ၊ ဘုရားက ကျန်ုပ်တို့ကို မေ့လျော့နေသလား။
အမိ ရွှေမြန်မာပြည်ကြီးကို ကြည့်ကြစို့။ ဘုရားသခင်က ဘက်လိုက် မျက်နှာလိုက်သလို ထင်ရပါတယ်။ မြန်မာပြည်သူပြည်သားတွေကို ပေးတာ အများကြီးပါ။ မြေပေါ်မြေအောက် အရင်းအမြစ်တွေ အများကြီးပါ။ မြေပေါ်ချမ်းသာမူတွေကတော့- တောတောင်၊ မြစ်ချောင်း၊ မြေဆီရေဆီတွေ၊ လူကောင်း သူတော်ကောင်းတွေ ပေးထားတယ်။ မြေအောက်ချမ်းသာတွေမှုတွေကတော့-
ဟုတ်ပါတယ် လူသန်းပေါင်းများစွာကို ကျွေးမွေးဖို့ ၊ မျိုးဆက်တဆက်ပြီး တဆက်ကျွေးမွေးဖို့ ဘုရားက မြန်မာပြည်ကို ပေါင်မုန့်ငါးလုံးကို ပေးထားပါတယ်။
ဘုရားက အံ့ဘြဖွယ်ကောင်းတဲ့နယ်မြေ - သဘာ၀သံယဇာတ ပေါင်းမုန့် ငါလုံးကို ပေးထားပါတယ်။ ကြီးကျယ်ခမ်းနားတဲ့ မြစ်ချောင်းများပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ကောင်းကင်ကြီးက ရက်ရောစွာ မိုးများ ရွာသွန်းပေးလိုက်တယ်။ ကမ္ဘာမြေကြီးကလည်း ထို တန်ဖိုးကြီးတဲ့ အရာတွေကို ဖမ်းဆုတ် ပေးထားတယ်။ လူတွေကိုလည်း ကျေးဇူးတော်တွေ နဲ့ ပြည့်စေတယ်။ မုန့်ငါးလုံး ကို တန်းတူညီမျှသာ ဝေစားကြမယ်ဆိုရင် - တိုးတက်မှုအနိမ့်ဆုံးနိုင်ငံလို့
ဘုရားက ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ လူတွေကို မမေ့လျော့ပါဘူး- ပျားရည်နဲ့ နို့ စီးဆင်းနိုင်တဲ့ ကတိထားတဲ့ နယ်မြေကို ပေးထားပါတယ်။ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ မှ တကယ့် ရွေးချယ်ခံ လူမျိုးတွေပါ။ ဘုရားလူမျိုးတွေပါ။ ပျားရည်နဲ့ နို့အစား၊ မျက်ရည်နဲ့ သွေးတွေပဲ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ လမ်းမတွေမှာ စီးဆင်းနေပါတယ်။ ကမ္ဘာမှာ အချမ်းသာဆုံးနိုင်ငံများထဲက တနိုင်ငံဖြစ်မဲ့အစား၊ ဆင်းရဲချို့တဲ့နေတာကတော့ အမှန်ပါပဲ။ ကမ္ဘာ စားနပ်ရိက္ခအစီစဉ် သတိပေးချက်အရ- လူ သန်းပေါင်း ၃. ၄ ဟာ အစာရေစာ ခေါင်းပါးခြင်းနဲ့ ရင်ဆိုင်နေကြရပါတယ်။
ခရစ်တော်ဘုရားရှင်က ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကို လက်မလျော့သေးပါဘူး- ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့ သုံးပတ်က ဖတ်ရတဲ့ ကျမ်းစာတွေမှာ ခရစ်တော်ဘုရားရဲ့ ကိုယ်ရည်ကိုယ်သွေး အစစ်အမှန်တွေကို ထောက်ပြခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ခရစ်တော်ဘုရားက လူတွေခံစားရတယ့် ဒုက္ခဆင်းရဲခြင်းနဲ့ စိတ်ထိခိုက်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ခရစ်တော်က ဂရုဏာ ပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဘုရားရဲ့ သနားကြင်နာခြင်းကြောင့် လူ့အဖြစ်ယူတယ်။ ရှင်မသဲက ခရစ်တော်ရဲ့ ကြင်နာသနားခြင်းကို ပြောင်မြောက်စွာ ဖော်ကျူးထားပါတယ်။ ကိုယ်တော်သည် လူအစုအဝေးကို မြင်တော်မူသောအခါ သူတို့အပေါ် ကရုဏာသက်တော်မူလေ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား ထိုသူတို့သည် သိုးထိန်းမရှိသော သိုးများကဲ့သို့ အားကိုးရာမဲ့၍ ပူပင်သောက ရောက်နေကြသောကြောင့်ဖြစ်၏။ (ရှင်မာသဲ ၉း ၃၆)။
ဟုတ်ပါတယ် ခရစ်တော်က “သူတို့သည် အားကိုးရာမဲ့၍ ပူပင်သောက ရောက်နေကြသောကြောင့်ဖြစ်၏” ဟု သတိထားမိတယ်။ ဟုတ်ပါတယ် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ ရဲ့ အောက်စီဂျင်မရှိပဲ သေကြတော့မှာကို သတိထားမိပါတယ်။ ဆေးဝါးမလုံလောက်ပဲသေကြတော့မှာကို
“ထိုသို့ပြုသောကြောင့် ဆင်းရဲသားတို့၏ ငိုကြွေးသံသည် ရှေ့တော်သို့တက်၍ ညှင်းဆဲခံရသောသူတို့၏ ငိုကြွေးသံကို ကြားရတော်မူ၏” (ယောဘ၀တ္ထု ၃၄း ၂၈)။
ယုတ်မာတဲ့သူတွေက ဘာလို့ သြဇာကြီးမားပြီး၊ ဘာလို့အဆက်မပြတ် ကြီးပွားနေရတာလဲ။
“ဆိုးသောသူသည် ကြာမြင့်စွာမဝါကြွားရကြောင်းကို လည်းကောင်း၊ အဓမ္မလူသည် တစ်ခဏသာ ဝမ်းမြောက်ကြောင်းကို လည်းကောင်း မသိသလော” ဟု (ယောဘဝတ္ထု ၂၀း ၅) မှာ ဖော်ပြထားပါတယ်။
ဟုတ်ပါတယ်။ ဘုရားသခင်က ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ လူသားတွေရဲ့ ငိုကြွေးသံကို အမြဲနားထောင်နေတဲ့ အတွက် ဘုရားသခင်ပါဝင် ဖြေရှင်းပေးမှာပါ။
ဒီအတောအတွင်းမှာ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ဟာ မျှဝေဖို့တောင်းဆိုခြင်းခံရပါ
ကျွန်ုပ်တို့မှာလည်း ပေါင်မုန့်ငါးလုံး တန်ခိုးလက္ခဏာကို ပြုလုပ်နိုင်ပြီး ထောင်ပေါင်းများစွာသော လူတွေကို မျှဝေနိုင်ပါတယ်။ ဘုရားသခင်က ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကို အာရုံငါးပါး ပေးထားပါတယ်။ ဒါတွေဟာ အမြင်၊ အကြား၊ အနံ့၊ အရသာနှင့် အထိအတွေ့ ပေါင်မုန့်တွေပါပဲ။ ခရစ်တော်ရဲ့ခံစား လုပ်ဆောင်သကဲ့သို့၊ ငိုကြွေးသူတွေကို နားထောင်ပေးမယ်၊ မေတ္တာနဲ့ ကြည့်ရှုပေးမယ်၊ လူတွေရဲ့ ဒုက္ခဝေဒနာကို မျှဝေခံစားမယ်၊ ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်မှာ သွားလာနေတဲ့ သိုးတွေရဲ့ အနံ့ကို သိအောင်လုပ်မယ်၊ ကုသခြင်းအထိအတွေ့ တွေကို ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ရဲ့ အာရုံငါးပါးက အသွင်ဆောင်တဲ့ အခါမှာ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ လည်း ခရစ်တော်ရဲ့ပေါင်မုန့် ငါးလုံးပါပဲ။ အဲ့ဒီ အာရုံငါးပါး ပေါင်မုန့်ကို ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ဖဲ့ ပြီး ဝေမျှနိုင်ပါတယ်။
ငွေကြေး ကို ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ အဓိက မလိုအပ်ပါဘူး။ ရွှေ၊ ငွေ ကျွန်ုပ်၌ မရှိ၊ ရှိသည့် အရာ ခရစ်တော်ရဲ့ နာမ၌ ကျွန်ုပ် ပေးမည်လို့ သံပေထရုကဲ့သို့ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ ပြောနိုင်ရပါမယ်။ အကူအညီလို နေသူတွေ ထောင်ပေါင်းများစွာ ရှိနေပါတယ်။ “သူတို့ ကိုစားစရာပေး ကြပါ” လို့ ခရစ်တော်က ယနေ့ ခရစ်ယာန်တွေကို (ရှင်လုကာ ၉း ၁၃) မှာ ပြောထားပါတယ်။ ဒီလိုစိန်ခေါ်မှုတွေများတဲ့ အချိန်အခါ သမယမှာ ခရစ်တော်က ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ တစ်ဦးချင်းစီကို လုံလောက်တဲ့ ပေါင်မုနု့်ငါးလုံး ပေးထားပြီးသားပါ။
ဟုတ်ပါတယ်။ ခရစ်တော်၏နာမ၌ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ရဲ့ အာရုံငါးပါးကို ထိန်းချုပ်ရခက်တဲ့ ကပ်ဆိုးကြီးကို ကုသပေးတဲ့ ပေါင်မုန့်ငါးလုံး အဖြစ်ပြောင်းလဲကြရအောင်။
၁။ အမြင် မုန့်တော်။ ။ ဒုက္ခခံနေရတဲ့သူတွေကို ခရစ်တော်ရဲ့ မေတ္တာတရား မျက်လုံးတွေနဲ့ ကြည့်ကြရအောင်။ ဒုက္ခရောက်သူတွေဆီ ရောက်ရမယ့် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ရဲ့မျက်လုံးတွေကို social distancing ကြောင့် မပိတ်လိုက်ပါနဲ့။
၂။ အကြား မုန့်တော်။ ။ ခရစ်တော်သခင်ဟာ ဖျားနာသူတွေရဲ့ ငိုကြွေးသံကို ကြားတဲ့ အခါမှာ သူတို့ကို ကူသပေးခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ဒီနေ့ ထောင်ပေါင်းများစွာသော လူတွေဟာ အမျိုးမျိုးသော အကူအညီအတွက် ငိုကြွေးနေကြပါတယ်။ အောက်ဆီဂျင်အတွက် ငိုကြွေးနေကြပါတယ်။ ဆေးဝါးအတွက် ငိုကြွေးနေကြပါတယ်။ ဒီငို ကြွေးသံတွေကို ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ ထူးဖို့လိုနေပါတယ်။
၃။ မြည်းစမ်းခြင်း မုန်ု့တော်။ ။ “ဘုရားရဲ့ ကောင်းမြတ်ခြင်းကို မြည်းစမ်း၍ ကြည့်ကြလော့” လို့ သမ္မာကျမ်းစာက ပြောထားပါတယ်။ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့လည်း လူတွေရဲ့ နာကျင်မှုကို မျှဝေခံစားပြီး သူတို့ရဲ့ ဝမ်းနည်းမှုတွေကို မြည်းစမ်းလျက် အမြဲတမ်း ကမ်းလက်ကြိုနေရပါမယ်။
၄။ အနံ့ မုန်ု့တော်။ ။ ပုပ်ရဟန်းမင်းကြီး ဖရန်စစ်က ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ အသင်းတော်ဟာ သိုးတွေဆီသွားပြီး သိုးတွေရဲ့ အနံ့နဲ့ ပြန်လာတဲ့ အသင်းတော် ဖြစ်ရမယ်လို ပြောထားပါတယ်။ lockdowns နဲ့ stay homes ကာလက ထောင်ပေါင်းများစွာသော လူတွေကို မေ့တဲ့အထိ အသင်းတော်နဲ့ ဘာသူတူတွေကို မတားဆီးနိုင်ပါဘူး။ ရောဂါကူးစက်ခံရသူတွေ နေတဲ့ စောင့်ရှောက်ရေး စင်တာတွေ၊ အိမ်တွေ၊ ဆေးဝါးအနံ့ နှင့် ဖျားနားခြင်း အနံ့တွေကြားမှာ ရှိတဲ့သူတွေဆီ အရောက်လှမ်းဖို့ ဒီကနေ့ ခရစ်တော်က ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကို ခေါ်နေပါတယ်။
၅။ အတို့အထိ မုန့်တော်။ ။ ခရစ်တော်သခင်က ဖျားနာသူတွေ၊ ဒါဏ်ရာရသူတွေ၊ ခြေထောက်မကောင်းတဲ့သူတွေနဲ့ ဆွံ့အ နားမကြားတဲ့ သူတွေဆီသွားပြီး သူ့ရဲ့ အတို့အထိနဲ့ ကုသပျောက်ကင်း ပေးခဲ့ပါတယ်။
အခုလို ကြီးမားလှတဲ့ ကပ်ဆိုးကြီးဆိုက်ရောက်ချိန်မှာ လူငါးထောင်ကို ကျွေးမွေးဖို့ ပေါင်မုန်ု့ငါးလုံးကို ပွားများစေတဲ့ ခရစ်တော်ရဲ့ ချစ်ခြင်းမေတ္တာကို ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ ထောက်ရှုစဉ်းစား ကြရပါမယ်။ ခရစ်တော်ဟာ ဒီနေ့ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့အားဖြင့် အလုပ်လုပ်နေပါတယ်။ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ရဲ့ ကြောက်ရွံ့မှုတွေ မလုံခြုံမှုတွေကို ခဝါချပြီး ဒုက္ခရောက်နေသူတွေဆီကို ကမ်းလက်ဆီးကြို ကြရအောင်။ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ရဲ့ ဆုတောင်းမေတ္တာ အားဖြင့်သော်လည်းကောင်း၊ တစ်ပါးသူတွေကို ကူညီခြင်းအားဖြင့်သော်လည်းကောင်
“သင်တို့အား ငါဧကန်အမှန်ဆိုသည်ကား ငါ၏နာမ၌ သင်တို့အား သောက်ရန် ရေတစ်ခွက်ကို ပေးသောသူ မည်သူမဆို မိမိ၏ ဆုလာဒ်ကို ဆုံးရှုံးလိမ့်မည် မဟုတ်” ဟု (ရှင်မာကု ၉း၄၁) မှာ ခရစ်တော်က ကတိပေးတော်မူခဲ့ပါတယ်။
ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ရဲ့အာရုံ ငါးပါးနဲ့ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ ကိုယ်ကို တန်ခိုးရှင် အဖြစ်ပြုလုပ်ကြရအောင်။ ဘုရားသခင်က ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကို အဆတစ်ရာ ဆုလာဒ်ပေးပါလိမ့်မယ်။
